LEGO: Learning through Play, and earthquakes

Yesterday LEGO Japan together with DCCJ held a joint event-workshop in how to learn through playing. We got to see some of their office and hear about their story. Of course, there had to be some hands-on experience for the participants, which came through as some fun competitions. This was by the likes of who could program and built the best mini-wind fan on a short term vision, sitting back to back with your teammate while he/she would give instructions on how to put together 6 bricks of different colors, or who could earthquake proof a tower of their own while building it as high as possible.

After moving our own personal bricks around, everyone moved down to relax for a cold drink and a bit to eat.
