About DCCJ
The Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan is a NPO with the goal of strengthening the Danish business community here. Since the organisation’s roots in the 1950s, DCCJ has supported and fostered networking and knowledge sharing among Danish businesses in Japan. DCCJ works closely with various stakeholders, such as the Royal Danish Embassy, the European Business Council and other Chambers of Commerce.
Job Description
As Interim Executive Director, you will be overseeing day-to-day activities at DCCJ. This is a versatile job which offers lots of variety and the opportunity to work with a large number of sectors and companies. The Interim ED reports to the Board of Directors of DCCJ (BoD), represented by the Chairman of DCCJ.
The tasks include, but are not limited to:
Organising interesting events and introducing relevant speakers.
Promoting Chamber activities via email, newsletter and updating DCCJ’s website.
Communication with existing and potential members, partners and stakeholders to maintain and build DCCJs network
Working closely with the DCCJ BoD and Chairman.
The work hours are flexible, averaging around 15-20 hours per week.
Job Requirements
Out-going, detail-oriented and flexible. Not afraid of new challenges.
English: Professional working proficiency. Danish and/or Japanese working proficiency is a plus.
Good communicator and writer
IT skills: Comfortable with spreadsheets, presentations and documents. Fast learner of new software such as websites and newsletter builders. SoMe skills are a plus
