Mirai Maersk is thrilled to welcome families to a special weekend celebrating the release of Little Hammerhead’s Adventures in the Port of Yokohama: A Century of Stories. This charming picture book dives into the history of Yokohama’s port through colorful storytelling and illustrations. Now, the fun jumps off the page with live author talks, a gallery of original artwork, and plenty of hands-on activities where kids can build, draw, play, and explore together.

What to Expect

Meet the Authors – Say hello to Daisuke Aoyama and Natsuki Tanikawa, hear the stories behind the book, and grab your very own signed copy.

Step Into the Story – Wander through an exhibition of the original illustrations and see the book’s colorful world come alive.

Get Hands-On – Build a LEGO Maersk container ship, design your own paper container, roll the dice in a port-themed sugoroku board game, and take on fun coloring and maze challenges.

Draw Like a Pro – Join the authors as they guide kids through drawing a ship from a bird’s-eye view.
