Request for collaboration for Ogata Village - A friendship town of Denmark

Updated: May 12, 2021

Ogata Village and the Royal Danish Embassy in Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Promotion of Comprehensive Exchange in 2016 and have since then carried out various exchange projects.

The exchange projects with Denmark span across many areas, such as education, sports and green energy, and includes hosting the Danish national rowing team’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games pre-camp, where preparations to establish the best possible training camp environment for the Danish athletes have been realized. Ogata Village aspires to create an Olympic legacy based on hosting a team in one of Denmark’s most successful Olympic sports and will continue exchange projects with Denmark in order to secure the legacy for the future.

Ogata Village considers collaboration with Danish companies a way to create this Danish Olympic legacy. From 2021, the ambition is to continue and further develop on existing projects by utilizing the Hometown Tax System (company edition), which the Japanese central government actively is promoting.

Please review details regarding the benefits of donating via this tax system and the outline of future Ogata Village - Denmark exchange projects in the additionally posted files.

Ogata Village is taking its relations with Denmark to new heights and offers an opportunity to be part of this ambition. Any support is greatly appreciated.
