The Danish Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the latest iteration of the Executive Director Rotation Office Initiative. This time, Executive Director Josefine Praestekjaer had the privilege of visiting the remarkable Ørsted Japan headquarters situated in the bustling business district of Hibiya. The visit provided a unique opportunity for the Executive Director to immerse themselves in the corporate culture and values championed by Ørsted Japan, a pioneering force in renewable energy committed to creating a more sustainable future.

During the week of the rotation office at Ørsted Japan, a collaborative effort unfolded as DCCJ and Ørsted Japan co-hosted the Nordic Share and Connect event. This edition "Insights on Sustainable Futures with Ørsted Japan & Youth Activist Momoko Nojo" featured Ms. Momoko Nojo, founder and representative of No Youth No Japan (Nominated as the Times 100), who shared insights into her organization and her recent study trip to Denmark, including a visit to the Ørsted headquarters.

Nordic Share and Connect is an event series created and hosted by the Nordic Chambers, including DCCJ, FCCJ, ISCCJ, NCCJ, and SCCJ. The initiative opens the doors of prominent businesses in the Nordic Business Community in Japan to share insights on their industry, business practices, and current market trends, fostering networking and collaboration within the Nordic-Japanese community.

The exceptional presentations by Mr. Ken Okumura (Ørsted) and Ms. Momoko Nojo (No Youth No Japan) provided invaluable insights into the renewable energy industry and possibilities of creating a more sustainable future shedding light on the benefits and challenges faced during the transition to green energy and a more sustainable world society. It also emphasized the role of public engagement in shaping a sustainable future in Japan.

Executive Director Josefine Praestekjaer expresses her sincere gratitude to Ørsted Japan for providing this enriching opportunity, further strengthening the foundation for future collaborations.
