DCCJ is happy to announce the appointment of new Executive Director Lærke Steinmann. She will assume the new role on November 1 2021.
Lærke has been interim Executive Director of DCCJ since May 2021. She has a wealth of experience working in Japan and a background in Japanese language and cultural studies from Copenhagen University.
Located in Tokyo since 2014, she spent over 3 years at the Royal Danish Embassy, where she was involved in a variety of projects ranging from commercial assistance to planning and executing political and royal visits. Next, as Head of Events at People Make Places, she worked closely with Japanese museums, temples and artists to offer one of a kind experiences to travellers in Japan. In this position she also coordinated boutique promotional and educational events for a range of business and non-profit clients from around the world.
Lærke said of her appointment: “It’s a privilege to be taking up this role in the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan. I am proud to be working with Danish businesses and organisations in Japan, and am very much looking forward to working closely with our members to keep growing DCCJ as a valuable forum for exchanging insight and information for the Danish-Japanese business community.”
Lærke Steinmann succeeds Leon Esben Ohta, who has left his position after 4 years.
