About The Event
In today’s fast-changing global environment, leaders are expected to make better decisions, inspire others, and navigate constant transformation—often while moving faster than ever before.
But what if the greatest competitive advantage is not moving faster, but knowing when to pause?
Join the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan for an inspiring and casual evening conversation with Morten Toft, as he shares the ideas behind his new book Travelling Out to Find Home.
Drawing on decades of experience in innovation, leadership, and human development, Morten explores how many of life’s most important breakthroughs—both personal and professional—emerge when we create space for reflection, awareness, and authentic connection.
In an era where resilience, trust, and self-awareness are becoming defining leadership capabilities, this session offers practical insights for leadership, organisations, and life. At its core, this keynote / conversation event explores how slowing down enables clearer thinking, deeper awareness, and more meaningful action—allowing leaders to move beyond purely performance-driven approaches toward more human-centered and sustainable forms of leadership.
Key Themes
· Why slowing down can unlock greater clarity, creativity, and innovation
· How authentic personal leadership shapes organisational culture and business performance
· Building resilience and purpose in times of uncertainty and change
· Why trust, empathy, and authentic communication have become essential leadership capabilities
· How investing in self-awareness enables stronger teams, healthier organisations, and lasting impact
Whether you are a business leader, entrepreneur, manager, or professional working across cultures, this evening offers an opportunity to gain fresh perspectives, connect with fellow DCCJ members, and reflect on what sustainable leadership means in today’s world.
Following the keynote, guests are invited to continue the conversation over drinks and light refreshments—an opportunity to expand your network and exchange ideas with members of the Danish-Japanese business community in an informal setting.
