Nordic Share & Connect: Living the Nordic Dream with Sweden House

The Nordic chambers and Sweden House, is proud to present the last Nordic Share & Connect event before summer break. This gathering of business professionals will take place on Thursday, July 13th from 18:30-20:30 at Sweden House Komazawa Model House, offering a unique platform for learning, networking and engaging discussions.

During his speech at the Nordic Share & Connect event, Mr. Ohkawa will enlighten attendees about Sweden House, a renowned company in the premium segment with a rich heritage in the housing industry. He will delve into the latest trends and developments in the Japanese housing market, providing valuable insights and perspectives for both local and international businesses.

Attendees can look forward to gaining a comprehensive understanding of Sweden House's innovative approach to housing, its commitment to quality and sustainability, and how it has successfully adapted to the ever-evolving market demands in Japan.

Hosting Company:

Sweden House Co., Ltd. is a Japanese house manufacturer established in 1984 to introduce a traditional Swedish wooden house that enables people to live in comfort with minimum electricity consumption. So far, we have about 37,000 owners all around inJapan.

The most distinctive feature of the house is triple glass window with a wooden frame. As you sometimes see wood used for a frying pan handle, wood is not thermally conductive but prevents outer air from flowing into indoors. Compared to an aluminum sash that is commonly used in Japan, wooden sash with higher level of airtightness and insulation enables cooling and heating more efficiently.

The members such as window and structural panel are produced at own factory in Sweden and transported to Japan. At about 65 showhouses nationwide, you can see variety of types, from one-story to three-story house. Please come to experience the warmth of wood and gentle atmosphere that you feel when you once step into Sweden House.

Born February 13, 1973, he Joined Sweden House Co., Ltd. in April 1997. In 2015 became the  manager of the Tokyo branch. After working as the general manager of sales promotion at the head office, became an executive officer in April 2020. In April 2022 appointed as Sales Promotion Manager and West Japan Manager. Since June 2023, also hold the post of director of Hokuyo Trading Co., Ltd.

1973年2月13日生まれ。1997年4月、株式会社スウェーデンハウスに入社。2015年東京支店長に就任。本社営業推進部長を経て、2020年4月執行役員。2022年4月営業推進部長兼西日本部長に就任。2023年6月より北洋貿易株式会社取締役を兼務。
