Nordic Cleantech Launch Event: Nordic Clean Maritime Solutions
Time & Location
About The Event
Japan and Nordic societies are moving towards net-zero carbon emission, and maritime is a key industry for clean innovations for our regions surrounded by the sea and dependent on ocean traffic. The transition for clean maritime does not only rely on cleaner energy sources, but requires innovations across the supply chain from vessel production to harbors to ship operations, new solutions for carbon capture and utilization both on land and sea, and digital solutions to optimize the efficiency of operations throughout the value chain. Both Japan and the Nordic countries have ambitious goals for a decarbonized maritime industry, and innovative solutions to reach them.
NIH would like to warmly welcome you to this event, to hear about Nordic solutions and innovations, and exchange thoughts on opportunities for cooperation between our regions. This event marks the launch for Nordic cleantech activities in Japan, with the first event having a focus on the maritime industry. Besides Nordic country presentations and sharing our future Nordic activities within clean technologies in Japan, we will also hear insights from Dr. Hideyuki Ando, Director of MTI, NYK Group.
