ベストセラー作家でありデンマーク文化研究家でもある針貝有佳氏をお招きし、デンマーク社会を切り口に、働き方やコミュニケーション、ウェルビーイングを読み解くトークセッションを開催いたします。

『デンマーク人はなぜ4時に帰っても成果を出せるのか』『デンマーク人はなぜ会議より3分の雑談を大切にするのか』『デンマーク人の休む哲学』といったベストセラーで知られる針貝氏が、デンマーク流の働き方・生き方と日本の現状とを比較・考察します。

モデレーターには立教大学名誉教授の尾﨑俊哉氏をお迎えし、ワークライフバランス、職場での信頼関係、強固なビジネス関係を構築するための非公式なコミュニケーションが果たす役割や、創造性や生産性、ウェルビーイングを持続させるうえでの「休息」の重要性などをテーマに議論を深めます。また働き方に対する異なる文化的視点が、いかに私たちの固定観念や職場の慣行を見つめ直すきっかけとなるかについても掘り下げます。

文化や社会制度、職場慣行において、両国間には大きな隔たりがあるにもかかわらず、針貝氏が発信するデンマークの価値観の多くは、日本の読者から大いなる共感を得ています。また日本各地で、個人や組織が針貝氏の著書のアイデアを日々の暮らしや職場環境の改善に取り入れ、成果を上げています。イベントでは、デンマーク流の考え方を日本の文脈にどう応用できるか、実践的な事例と知見を共有します。

登壇者プロフィール

針貝有佳（はりかい ゆか）

デンマーク文化研究家・ジャーナリスト・翻訳家。15年以上にわたり、デンマーク社会の知見を日本の読者に届けている。

1982年生まれ。早稲田大学大学院社会科学研究科にて、デンマークの労働市場政策「フレキシキュリティ・モデル」を研究し、修士号を取得。2009年末にデンマークへ移住後、テレビ・ラジオ・新聞・雑誌・オンラインメディア等を通じてデンマーク社会に関し発信。デンマーク語の一次情報をもとに、現地の視点から取材・執筆を続けている。

著書はベストセラーの『デンマーク人はなぜ4時に帰っても成果を出せるのか』『デンマーク人はなぜ会議より3分の雑談を大切にするのか』『デンマーク人の休む哲学』など。デンマーク流の働き方、コミュニケーション、ウェルビーイング、社会的信頼と、それらが現代日本にもたらす示唆をテーマに発信を続けている。

また働き方・リーダーシップ・組織文化に関する講演も多数。トヨタ自動車、パナソニック、サントリーなど大手企業・自治体・教育機関で講演・セミナーの実績があり、近年は「日経「Smart Work-X 2024」」や「2025年大阪・関西万博 Nordic Pavilion」にも登壇。

立教大学名誉教授、ハノイ貿易大学（ベトナム）客員教授。専門は国際経営・比較経営論。近年の著書・論文に、Responsive Structures in Multinational Organizations: Engaging Employee Knowledge Across Diverse Contexts（Emerald Publishing、2026年）所収の共著章「Japanese MNCs’ Global Leadership Challenges - Why Cultural and Emotional Intelligence Matter and Why They Do Not Have Enough of Them?」、および「責任ある株主としての財団：デンマークに学ぶべきこと」（週刊エコノミスト、2026年2月）などがある。コペンハーゲン・ビジネススクール客員教授。

Join us for an engaging conversation with bestselling author and Danish cultural researcher Yuka Harikai, whose work explores work culture, communication, and well-being through the lens of Danish society.

Drawing on insights from her bestselling books—including Why Can Danes Leave Work at 4 PM and Still Achieve Results?, Why Do Danes Value Three Minutes of Small Talk More Than Meetings?, and The Danish Philosophy of Rest—Yuka will explore how Danish approaches to work and life compare with experiences in Japan.

The discussion will be moderated by Professor Emeritus Toshiya Ozaki of Rikkyo University and will cover topics such as work–life balance, workplace trust, the role of informal communication in building strong professional relationships, and the importance of rest in sustaining creativity, productivity, and overall well-being. It will also examine how different cultural perspectives on work can help us rethink established assumptions and workplace practices.

Despite the significant differences between Denmark and Japan in terms of culture, social systems, and workplace norms, Yuka has found that many Danish values resonate strongly with Japanese readers. Over the years, individuals and organizations across Japan have successfully applied ideas from her books to improve their daily lives and working environments. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Yuka Harikai

Danish cultural researcher, journalist, and translator who has spent more than 15 years sharing insights into Danish society with audiences in Japan.

Born in 1982, Yuka Harikai earned a Master's degree from Waseda University's Graduate School of Social Sciences, specializing in Denmark's labour market policy known as the Flexicurity Model. After moving to Denmark in 2009, she began reporting on Danish society through television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and online media, drawing on direct access to Danish-language sources and local perspectives.

She is the bestselling author of Why Can Danes Leave Work at 4 PM and Still Achieve Results?, Why Do Danes Value Three Minutes of Small Talk More Than Meetings?, and The Danish Philosophy of Rest. Her work explores Danish approaches to work culture, communication, well-being, and social trust, and their relevance to contemporary Japan.

In addition to her writing, Yuka is a frequent speaker on work styles, leadership, and organizational culture. She has delivered lectures and seminars for leading companies, local governments, and educational institutions, including Toyota Motor Corporation, Panasonic, and Suntory. Recent speaking engagements include NIKKEI Smart Work X 2024 and the Nordic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai. 

ABOUT THE MODERATOR: Professor Emeritus Toshiya OZAKI

Professor emeritus at Rikkyo University, Tokyo, Japan, and a visiting professor at Foreign Trade University, Hanoi, Vietnam. He specializes in international and comparative management. Recent publications include book chapters, one of them titled "Japanese MNCs’ Global Leadership Challenges - Why Cultural and Emotional Intelligence Matter and Why They Do Not Have Enough of Them?" in Responsive Structures in Multinational Organizations: Engaging Employee Knowledge Across Diverse Contexts (Emerald Publishing, 2026), and "Foundations as Responsible Shareholders: What We May Learn from Denmark" (Weekly Economist, February 2026). Previously, he served as a visiting professor at Copenhagen Business School.
