JP/Politikens Hus was established on January 1, 2003 as a merger between Politikens Hus and Jyllands-Posten A/S, and the group is one of Denmark's leading media companies. Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten was founded in 1871 and Politiken in 1883.
The main objective of JP/Politikens Hus is to create and disseminate news, debate and entertainment. The group is one of Denmark's leading media companies in printed, digital and mobile publications.
JP/Politikens Hus publishes three national newspapers, EKSTRA BLADET, MORGENAVISEN JYLLANDS-POSTEN and POLITIKEN – Denmark's leading daily newspapers.
Other activities include FREE TABLOIDS, LOCAL NEWSPAPERS in Denmark and Sweden, PUBLISHING HOUSE, TV PRODUCTION, operation and development of a range of DIGITAL ACTIVITIES and NEWS SERVICES and OTHER BUSINESS AREAS which are attached to the primary activity: the creation and dissemination of news, debate and entertainment to all media.
